L Harvey and Son is a family owned M & E business that has been established since 1964, undertaking works across London and the South East. L Harvey and Son Group ltd comprises of two areas of business: Harveys Electrical and Harveys Mechanical
As Electrical and Mechanical contractors we install, maintain and service all disciplines in the Electrical and Mechanical commercial industry. All divisions of L Harvey and Son Group Ltd work from our offices in High Wycombe, HP14 4US.
L Harvey and Son Ltd Process personal data for 3 main reasons
a) In relation to client organisations and their employees
b) As Employers
c) In the performance of a supplier’s contract

We will not share your information with any third parties unless:
• It is necessary in the performance of our contractual obligation to you
• They are a third-party data processor acting on our instruction.

Our Lawful basis for processing your personal information is set down in the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) Article 6 (1)(b) Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering the contract.

Collection of personal information – What we do with it and why
We may gather information about you when you contact us by phone or email. This information you give us may include your name, postal address, email address, landline or mobile telephone number and the information about your employment including job title, responsibilities and employers’ details as well as other personal information.
L Harvey and Son Ltd will not share any of the information you provide during the recruitment process with any third-party marketing or store any of the information outside of the European Economic Area. The information you provide will be held securely by us in electronic or physical format. We will only use your contact details to process your application and to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for. Speculative applications received when there is no suitable vacancy at times will be kept on our system for a 12-month period only, if no further contact is made we will delete your information.
How long is this information retained for?
The information you provide during the application process will be retained by us a s part of the employee file for the duration of your employment plus 5 years following the end of your employment. This will include your criminal records declarations, fitness to work, records and any security checks and references. Information generated through the assessment period for unsuccessful candidates will be deleted once the job application has been closed.
There may be others with whom we do business and for whom we hold personal data, such as those who work as suppliers. We process this information in accordance with our contracts.

L Harvey and Son Ltd are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we process.
Your Rights
Under current UK data protection legislation, you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information we hold about you. Individuals have the right to see the personal data held by L Harvey and Son Ltd. Once you have been identified the request will be carried out with in one calendar month in a clear and easy to read way. Individuals have the right to update personal information at anytime and the right to rectify where data is incorrect or out of date. You also have the right to restrict or erase any data that L Harvey and Son Ltd hold on you.
Your right to object to the processing of your data is an absolute right which will be dealt with immediately unless there are compelling grounds for us to continue the processing.
